This talk was given at JSConf EU 2014 and JSConf AU 2014. Taking a critical look at some of the patterns we see being applied in common JS frameworks, to see if they give us ways of handling state and events in a scalable, maintainable fashion, and then taking a look at some tactics you can use to help you better embrace both state and events, without sacrificing clarity in your architecture.
